We are committed to being very aggressive in our attitude towards quality and customer service, primarily since we want to be ranked as the “best” in our business. Quality is not just another goal, it is our basic strategy for survival and future growth.
Our objective is to fully satisfying our customers requirements through a process of continuous improvement. It’s a long term commitment aimed at continuously improving the way we work, providing a safe work environment, managing our business processes, and supplier selection/retention. It is our goal to posture our company for market expansion, thereby providing improved job security and quality of life for all. We are dedicated to achieving the highest degree of Customer (internal and external) satisfaction!
We will achieve this by:
- Knowing who our Customers are and what they want – through open communication.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and appropriately act.
- Understanding the requirements of our jobs and the systems that support us – through training and education.
- Making continuous improvement a part of every day and every job – through the use of team participation and measurements.
- Ensuring that our Policy and Procedure Manuals reflect what we actually do.
- Remembering that we are here because of our Customers! Realizing our Customers are the reason we have our jobs, and that through on-time delivery of quality products at a fair market price is how we will keep them!
- Never compromise safety.
- Review and renew this Quality Policy on a regular basis
At Silkland, we work with manufacturers who strive to reduce the environmental impact of production and work processes on a continuous basis. Our goal is to work with mills that create a minimum impact on the environment without compromising on the quality of products they produce. This guarantees a product life cycle, which is amongst the best in the market and a sustainable, eco-friendly production.
All our suppliers comply with all relevant and stringent Environmental legislations and standards in their respective countries, moreover our own environmental requirements aim to prevent the unnecessary use of resources, to reduce and prevent pollution, while ensuring good health and safety at work.
At Silkland we aim to create a healthy working environment and we encourage our employees to act and think in an environmentally conscious way. To stress its importance, we have included the latter into our annual individual appraisal.
It is our goal to reduce, on a year-to-year basis, the consumption of paper in our company. We discourage people to print electronic communications and give them the means to file electronically.
Assessments of the working environment are made on a regular base. We have an in-house, free gym. Eco-friendly cleaning agents are used throughout.
For our packaging we mainly use paper/cardboard boxes with a minimum content of recycled fibres of 60%, which again are 100% recyclable anywhere in the world. When plastic packaging is used, it is PE or HDPE and fully recyclable.
Our energy consumption (gas, water, electricity) is assessed quarterly. Electronic monitoring is recording our consumption to help us to reduce it to a minimum. Investments are assessed against the need for energy reduction.
We regularly monitor and maintain all of our transport vehicles to ensure low fuel consumption and minimal pollution. Our company vehicles comply with all the environmental regulations for vehicles.

Ethical, financial and commercial behavior, concern and respect for employees, caring for the wider community and concern for the environment — is corporate sustainability. In business, sustainability is sustenance for those who empathise with people and also strive for the benefit of its shareholders.
The philosophy of corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a legacy of this organization’s founders. Social responsibility is the central theme of Silkland’s way of business.
We are in the unfortunate situation today of seeing corrupt corporations being feted for their ‘achievements’, of hearing applause for accomplishments that have been gained through immoral and unethical business behavior.
Businesses are under greater pressure than ever to generate profits, but this should never be at the cost of compromising on ethical corporate values. We would like to look beyond the generation of products and profits to serving the communities in which we function. Our endeavour is to pursue the value systems that have come to define the Silkland Corporate actions and operations.
Be it employee relations, ethical governance, environment conservation or community causes, it is a voluntary action as opposed to an obligatory commitment.
We will always continue to nurture our sense of social responsibility with the changing times. Its actually difficult to draw a line between our responsibility to our employees and to the community around us.
There is no single element of it that is more important than any other. The environment is important and we must be responsive to it, we have to be concerned about employee relations, doing the right thing in matters of corporate governance is critical, and enriching the wider community is vital.
We would like to contribute in the areas of health, education, livelihood generation, women and child welfare. These efforts are driven by commitment from the top. We invite proposals from NGOs and individuals in this regard.
